A lovely location with this place, but like with so many places like this it's becomes too touristy and a total rip off. Places like this are all the same in my view they think to them selves 'oh look we have a tourist trap now lets rip everyone one off and give poor customer service!' Couldn't relax here feeling like a mindless tourist clone, still it's not aimed at a real pub goer like me is it!. 5/10 (Just for the view) montie49 - 4 Dec 2012 19:05 |

Popped in a couple of weeks past, had the chocolate bitter very nice indeed. Staff and landlady still very pleasant and helpful. Sorry I couldn,t stop due to driving, but the summeres coming what a good reason to return.. james55westhead - 15 Jun 2011 15:07 |
went here on saturday last to see hoe it was doing after a year or so spell. i found the staff very helpfull and what appears to be a new landlady very pleasant indeed, nothing seemed to much trouble. drinks and food all passed very well indeed from our small party and we were given a cream tea although it was not the times specified on the menu. All in all a good experience. james55westhead - 26 Apr 2010 18:57 |
Nice pub, lovely setting, pity about the food, which was overpriced and mediocre. I had a "chicken salsa" dish - tasteless slab of chicken completely over-smothered in salsa sauce, nestling on a bed of soggy chips. Other party members fared slightly better (although one of the eggs in ham eggs and chips arrived with a broken yolk) All in all - poor value for money. I had the impression that this establishment trades on its fabulous location , to the detriment of quality. Tony1945 - 25 Jul 2009 21:57 |
