More of a Food Pub ,one ale on in decent nick .Landlord very chatty and friendly, well worth a pint on a crawl aound the station area. lowerbourneshot - 27 Jul 2015 16:05 |
Great freshly prepared food- a significant cut above most pub fare in Brighton. Beer selection is nothing special. Nice atmosphere, quite small and not too many tables so get there early or reserve one! Would be a great spot for a Sunday roast I would imagine. No outdoor space. napoleon_dynamite - 25 Feb 2012 10:18 |
Last night (friday 18th December) I was driving up Guilford Road Had to stop on very icy road, started to just slip down the hill. Could have been a nasty accident. The locals from the pub came out and salted the road, helped me get out, there must have been a dozen of them. I wish I could have thanked you all personally and the Cab driver who gave us a ride to where we were going and refused to accept payment. That's what Christmas is all about. Proudly advertises cask ales outside but only delivers GK IPA and OSH, the latter of which was off. Was told they were in happy hour with 1 a pint off so my pint of Budvar was only 2.70!! Fosters, Krony, Strongbow, Guinness and Hoegaarden also on offer, plus a myriad of teas and coffees. I wouldn't recommend it and would struggle to call it a pub, more of a bar really. As for the reviewer below who thinks he'll get his dentist bill paid, caveat eater I think. Millay - 11 Jun 2009 23:46 |
