I'm glad to see it's still listed (albeit now demolished) as I'd like to pay tribute to one of the finest boozers I've had the pleasure to visit. Friendly doesn't do it justice. The Holt's was always on form and in the latter days they had guests not on the usual list of suspects - I had the finest pint of Rooster's Hooligan I've had here and that's saying something. Sadly missed. EFC1878 - 11 Dec 2006 21:23 |
The White House Pub was one of the finest pubs i have had the pleasure of visiting for a long time the locals was always vry friendly and would chat to anyone who went in the landlord was always jovel and welcoming, but sadly this pub has closed on the 13th of May 2005 and will now be pulled down and made into yet more flat's it's a shame that another one of Manchesters very much loved pubs is closed, it will be sadly missed.R.I.P anonymous - 16 May 2005 06:32 |
Friendly traditional boozer, opposite the Great Ancoats Street Retail Park. Holts bitter plus one guest beer always on top form. Bar snacks at lunchtime. bob mason - 16 Aug 2004 00:59 |
