The photo, is surely pre hall and woehouse takeover, when it was a lovely pub; since and now, a horrible dump, badly run by the numerous managers who have passed through, under the appauling rule of h and w.
had a drink there, with a pal, to see any improvement, as bad as ever, awful atmosphere, manager busy viewng a inappropriate video on a laptop on the bar. once llovely beer garden a muddy mess, debris piled in corners

Visited this potentially beautiful pub on a Saturday lunchtime. What a shame that Hall & Woodhouse have acquired this pub too. Sadly the same old list beers on offer.
Badgers, Firkin Fox...urgggh!!!

The 2 of us went here about 2 weeks ago, and although it was nearly as cold in the pub as outside(the log fire hadn't been going long), the landlord and landlady came and spoke to us for about half an hour, they're very friendly. Plentiful food and cooked very well. Good old Badgers beer (I love it!)

This charming family village pub is now re-opened to landord Tim Brooker and landlady Mini Brooker. The food is by far the best in the especially their homemade lasagne and grandma's venison casserole, they also stock a fine collection of Hall & Woodhouse beers. Pay Min and Tim a visit they will make you most welcome and I know you will enjoy the experience
