A nice traditional building with a cosy atmosphere. The Exmoor Gold, a reliable local standard, was on while I was there. What made the trip really worthwhile was the Tuesday night quiz, one of the best of its kind I have played anywhere. 16jamesdoc - 12 Aug 2017 09:11 |
visited in April while staying in Combe Martin and was suitably impressed to return for seconds, unusual looking place that looks like it's had a few add ons over the years, i can't actually remember what i was drinking but it must have been okay, i think they may serve some of the st Austell range vinnnie - 27 Jul 2017 22:21 |
Lovely looking place from the outside, very unique building indeed, although once inside there is only really a small bar area for the real pub goers. Beer garden is very nice too with a stream at the bottom, my 3 pints of Tribute went down a treat. Service was poor here though and the way in which you had to order your food put us off a bit so we didn't bother. 6/10 Not a bad place but could have done better. montie49 - 5 Jul 2015 13:00 |

Our local pub whilst we were staying in Combe Martin. We ate here, drank here and quizzed here several times and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The Landlord, Landlady and staff were all very friendly and efficient as were the regulars. The garden, very kid friendly, was well kept and the food excellent value and very good quality. Yes, they did run out of some meals sometimes but with the unexpected hot weather I'm not surprised. Wish it was my local. addlened - 28 Apr 2011 10:30 |
