Popped in early on a saturday evening and the place was very busy. Not really a good time for us as we couldn't get a decent seat. Pint of Doombar was good but for £3.50 a pint i thought that was a bit steep for this part of Plymouth. 5/10 montie49 - 30 Apr 2014 19:28 |
This pub is great. Always friendly. Good ale (Tribute/Jail Ale) and cider (Addlestones). Food is good at decent prices and the live music is good. Medicrob1 - 19 Nov 2010 10:34 |
The thing with the Millbridge is it doesn't try to be anything it isn't. Firkin up the back passage indeed. Millbridge is otherwise devoid of decent pubs - East Stonehouse and North Road West pubs are far worse and dangerous so most decent locals and drop-outs pop in here to talk rubbish and get all smiley - hey it's no bad thing! The beer and the cider is very good and quite how this has not been a regular Real Ale entry in the guides is beyond me. Not had the food (if there is any) but the craic is normally friendly and very busy paulio1966 - 8 Jun 2008 22:11 |
Well worth a visit if you are up for the "8 before 8" challenge - the record is 8 pints in 8 minutes 58 seconds ! You are also presented with an "8 before 8" T-Shirt for your troubles on completetion of the task. Cabs - 12 Jan 2005 14:35 |
FInally a pub that encourages drinking by running the 8 before 8 competition! A nice change from the anti-binge drinking efforts elsewhere. Brad Baxter - 9 Aug 2004 11:39 |
