Splendid pub. Please note the post code is LE9 4AG, according to the Everards web site (not 5AG as listed here). Fiendishgames - 18 Jul 2014 08:06 |
Very friendly place - a locals' pub that welcomes guests. Well-kept Everards, decent grub, proper bar and lounge, plus outside seating. ericonabike - 2 Feb 2009 14:35 |
Best Pint of real ale in Britain without a doubt! AndrewJ - 20 Feb 2008 16:54 |
New to the area & chose this pub to introduce 'the boys' to the delights of Leicester. Couldn't have picked a better place to start he evening - it set us up for the night! Great little place, with a perfect atmos. Shame we have a pub crawl planned, otherwise we'd have spent all night here! garyjstokes - 18 Mar 2007 18:51 |
Just called in on the way back from Donnington Park after finding this pub on my sat nav! Had heard of it before but never been. What a cracker!! The landlord made me feel like one of the regulars and the beer was excellent. No smoking at lunchtimes except for the back room as the pub does excellent food and a lot of people are eating. Fair enough then eh? The beer was really good. I must go back when I am not on the bike! Everards first pub acquired by William Everard in 1887 and dating back to 1549. Well worth taking a detour to visit. Local CAMRA pub of the month recently. DoctorWu - 7 Apr 2006 16:03 |
