It took me 8 minutes to reach this pub from my house, yet 15 minutes standing at the bar to get served, and there was only 11 customers in the whole pub. The pub looks great and very modern inside but there are problems when looking closely. There are no mirrors in the lady's toilets > No tampax etc machines. Small things but it is enough to make you think twice about a second pint. The beer was okay but the food was very "pubish" nothing special and not that nice. There was a lot of deals for OAP's but not so much for everyone else. The staff were not really rude but they seemed to not care one way or the other..I will not be going back and as Scully said " I aint posh" but I like to get a service when paying for something juno - 30 Jul 2007 09:00 |

Atrocious....but not all bad. Food was lovely and priced ok. However. The non smoking area was put slap bang in the middle of 2 smoking sections, not very cleverly thought out. Maybe its different where i live but i thought to find someone lighting up next to you was a thing of the past. Then they struggled to find a table for 6 of us because at 12.30 they had a table that was booked at 3 reserved and unusable. This was soon sorted though. Nice to have a pint of Everards Tiger again though. The 2 barmaids were not very helpful and there were no baby changing facilities at all. We had to lay him on the floor of the disabled toilet and lo and behold no where to put a poo poo nappy. I asked the barmaid where i should put it and she shrugged her shoulders and then put it in the bin behind the bar!! Maybe im used to better things where i live now but the whole experience (and believe you me i aint posh)was not very good at all. If you respect your lungs and dont wanna put ya kids on a dirty floor then go elsewhere!!! scully91 - 31 Oct 2005 08:24 |
Good family pub. The food is good and cheap and the Everard's beer is solid. There are a number of fruit machines as well. kyle473 - 16 Apr 2005 21:42 |
