| We tried to visit this place yesterday whilst in Rookley. It appears to have been located in Rookley Country Park which is currently closed for refurbishment. So we could not access the site. We could see the bar itself from the fences around the Park. But I believe it has now changed names. Looking at their website, it looks like they re-open next Spring. | Despite the fact that this is basically a holiday camp bar, it still has more of a pub feel than its neighour, The Chequers. Decent priced food, the house beer 'St Lawrence, Old Pond Water', was the best pint I had on the island. Visited July 04, vote 7 Jimbo Smith - 25 Jul 2004 10:35 |
