| Fever karaoke will cease business at the end of this month according to their website. I don't know whether there will be another karaoke here, but the last time I went there were some idiots trying to join in with other peoples songs (grabbing the mic off them etc), so any future host will have to be firm with them. | A mixed bag here. It is a good, traditional pub in a town that has a lot of 'bars'. Friendly welcome and service and the local crowd are sociable with passing drinkers like me. I enjoyed a couple of decent pints of Young's Bitter on one visit, but on the next both the bitter and the Guinness left a lot to be desired. Hard to give a rating in these circumstances. Settled on 5/10: beer quality is hit-and-miss so that gets 3/10; as a pub I rate it a respectable 7/10. wobblybob - 24 May 2014 19:17 |
| Young�s Pub. New Management Nicky and Kirk have taken over since the spring. To my delight there is now a quiz machine. The TVs are now flat screen with all showing the same channel. Last night Sky Sports was being shown. Beer Draft Young�s Bitter. Selection of Lagers Seems to be a more popular pub as more people in off_line - 11 Jul 2012 16:38 |
