Haven't been for several years but I’ve always liked the Ram. Yes it's a bit dingy and the glasses always needed a proper clean but it was an honest pub with honest people drinking in there. My rating is based on my last experience lezford - 2 May 2013 14:01 |
Dingy Youngs establishment in an old shopping precinct. As the previous reviewer states, there is one window only. This makes the large interior pretty dark. There are TV screens around. Only one other customer was present on our bank holiday morning visit. Youngs Ordinary & Special were the 2 ales on offer. Pretty poor. blue_scrumpy - 28 Aug 2012 19:58 |
I'd say this is the best pub in Catford. No trouble and drink is decent. No windows though.... Mattyh34 - 15 Jun 2012 14:37 |
A welcoming pub most times. Beer prices probably about average. Sometimes has some great live music. Hopefully their tragically out of date website will show some future events instead of events 6 months ago ! bkfromcatford - 24 Mar 2012 18:48 |
I have visited this pub a couple of times lately, May 2011, I have found it to be run by an excellent manager, with friendly, polite and knowledgable staff. The Youngs beer was as good as I have tasted and I used to keep Youngs myself in my pub days, so I know what I'm talking about. I haven't tried the food yet, but hear the kitchen's being re-fitted and the new menu comes into action next week.. I expect it will be good, the manager seems very keen on high standards. It's been a pleasure to visit, with everything clean and tidy. There are some negative comments here from past incarnations, but this is now an excellent pub. I also heard other exciting rumours.. but am sworn to secrecy... steve_broe - 21 May 2011 22:37 |
