Old pub with fairly young, mixed crowd. More downmarket than other venues on the High Street. Quite a few tattoos and one or two rough looking types. Barmaid was also heavily tattooed, with piercings and shortly cropped hair. Sensed that trouble wouldn't be unknown here. Very loud old skool music from an oldish DJ on the turntables. Just one real ale on handpump - Kotuku from the Tring brewery. It was slightly sour. A bit loud what with the music and the shouty types at the bar. Probably won't come back. 3rd pub visited in the High St and probably the least attractive but the best in terms of atmosphere. Small bar area with 2 hand pumps one of which was Tring beer. Half busy at around 7.30pm lezford - 18 Oct 2013 08:59 |
Not a bad pub, but a bit cramped in the evenings and not a very big bar. sometimes has some good music but seems to have Karaoke a bit too much for my liking weedram - 27 Jun 2007 21:39 |

Not a bad pub, beer is abit average, bar staff seem ok though and they show live sport. Sometimes have a dj up there on a sunday night playing house music which can be pretty good. Never eaten in there so not sure about the food. CrazyHorse - 2 Oct 2006 13:37 |
