| Probably time for an update since Oxfordboy's comment in 2006. I found the Antiquit Hall a nice, mellow pub. Quiet (but in a good way). Not tried the food or ales, but Guinness in good condition. Attentive bar people. Very nicely furnished with comfy sofas. Nice ambiance. Good location between the centre and the station if you're on foot.
