| Large corner plot pub on the way in to / out of Paisley. Very much a locals pub with the pub better looking than the locals ! Central bar with an attractive stained glass ceiling dome. No ales on hand pump so i opted for a pint of McEwen's special. Pretty quiet even though there was a crowd in. Not a bad place, but not that exciting. | Nedtastic. They have a sign declaring that no joggies, hoodies or trackies will be allowed after 9pm but there's no shortage of them before then at weekends. There's also a crew of shiftless, lackadaisical staff (though not all are like that) with an unsmiling chargehand who never seems to take his hands out of his pockets. | I js want to say the las comment is unfair, this pub has recently been bought over by new owners and their is a great team of staff there. Who go out their to be friendly and make u feel welcome. They have a great resturant which only serves the best in quality food. to say this bar is like the wild west is a joke as anonymous must have been their in a off nite or maybe before the new owners were in place as they offer great entertainment too, best advice i give anonymous try the pub now i guarantee you will be pleasantly surprised. dobo - 3 Apr 2010 21:52 |
