It's a Scream pub, with all that entails- cheap booze, students and cheapish food (ok food for what it is) Popular with football/Rugby fans on match days. Wed nights is pound a drink night, but have a god awful dj with too loud music. Typical keg beers served. Staff are mixed bunch who range from the nice friendly and efficient end of the spectrumto the downright rude. But hey, it's a scream pub, what'd you expect? AndyLion - 23 May 2011 20:41 |
Was a good pub, but an absolute mission to get to. =( anonymous - 13 Nov 2007 00:10 |
Down from 7 to 4. What IS it with that landlord?! patrickjsm - 19 Oct 2006 23:29 |
Haven't quite figured this one out yet. Good on a Sunday night when you can't be arsed with cooking for a Guinness, sausage and mash and Nationwide League highlights on TV. Actually, now I put it like that, this place deserves a 7. patrickjsm - 6 Sep 2006 04:22 |
Liked it when it was opened in my last year as a student but last time I went back we ordered some food. We were given a mug with a stubbed out cigarette and a piece of chewed gum in it to mark our table (nice) and there were a few tiny crumbs of cheese in the burger that could easily have been scraped off the plate of the last person who had a cheese related meal. cmofish - 31 Jul 2006 15:18 |
