Its a wetherspoons. we would have left it out of the crawl because of that but went in anyway. beer ok but service and customer base nasty. only 4/10 im afraid. davethomason - 14 Feb 2012 12:22 |
Have not been in this Wetherspoon's for a while and was suprised at the change in the whole pub. Wide range of ales avaliable two Adnams a Nethergate, Greene King Ruddles and Abbot and two christmas theme ales. served quickly and ale was good quality. Staff told me of an ale night the new managers have started every wednesday, the poster said and all the guest ales start from 1.69 a pint. Great to see a pub in the town doing something for real ale drinker's and that can offer a range as good as this. DO2501 - 4 Dec 2011 12:16 |
Reasonable enough pub, which has a nice area around a real fire which is very attractive for a wetherspoons pub. Tried the Wolf Brewery Coyote, and this was of good quality. Decent pub. SouthYorkshireman - 21 Jan 2010 23:18 |
Special offer GK IPA @99p a pint thats cheap if you like that sort of beer. hogshead - 3 Jan 2009 14:02 |
Better atmosphere than the Regal in Cambridge which is too bland at least the locals here are friendly and the beers are better in quality .. One of the best pubs in town I would agree.. hogshead - 1 Sep 2008 11:13 |
