| Having read previous reviews and being new to the area and the pub I felt I had to update. Don and Jane who have the pub are so welcoming to all customers old and new. They are trying to improve the pub all the time which is clearly shown with the new menu which has been created and the work done by their chef. All the food is made on the premises and the chips, what can I say. REAL chips not frozen! They also now do pizza on weekends which you can take away with you if you order late, upto closing time. A bonus in an area where there is nowhere to get food that late at night. There is also a weekly "Theme" menu on a Thursday which seems to change fairly regularly. | The only cask beer on offer was disgusting - (Caledonian 80/-), place was dead. Friend I was with told me it used to be thriving. | The brewery must have kicked the previous owners out. Doesn't look like it has been sold - never been advertised. The Greyhound was closed earlier in the week and reopened on Saturday.
