Pick-up joint for 20-somethings in crap suits and trainee accountants.
I attended a leaving do and was told three times by a spotty youth that standing up was forbidden upstairs! No real ale - just bottles of Southwold and Explorer from the chilled cabinet. Single G&T and a bottle of Southwold was £10.60. Avoid unless you are a trainee accountant or a youth in a cheap suit.

The name certainly suggests whoever came up with the concept of the Ha Ha Bar had a sense of humour. Perhaps that the idea came out of putting together a list of things visitors liked most about pubs ... then doing the exact opposite and charging O.T.T. prices. Ha! Ha! The jokes on you who enters.

Have been to this Hahas a few times and have always had a great time. Whether eating in the restaurant or just having a drink the staff have always been very attentive, welcoming and smilely. It continues to be one of my favourite bars for a drink before the theatre, being well located to almost all the theatres around covent garden, and almost anytime that I go into central London.

This is a place that will suite many, but will send others away screaming. I paid a visit here to the Ha Ha Bar & Canteen last Thursday (10th May) and have to say that it was very much equal to my not so high expectations. Personally, I dont mind modernised bars, so long as they get the basics right, but like so many others I have visited, this place just doesnt quite cut it. The service was atrocious, my pint wasnt quite a pint and I was asked by some weirdo to watch their bag whilst they go in search of hash. Expect a mix of the usual suited and booted brigade supping wine and indiscreetly fiddling with their Blackberries as well as trendy student types and foreigners. The music was pleasant however. Oh well, I suppose thats something.
