Stopped here once last week, next time I pass I will keep going. Big estate pub ,poorly run and maintained.Whatever the pint was it was barely drinkable. Unless you know Banbury well it is hard to find the really good pubs. bee578 - 29 Sep 2008 09:39 |
As welcoming as herpes - the beer choice is aimed at wife-beaters and plebs. Come on come on what is wrong with these sort of pubs - surely not everyone in Ruscote Estate is devoid of taste buds? Not everybody in the surrounding area wants just fizzy urine.. paulio1966 - 8 Jun 2008 23:23 |
Another poorly run estate pub. Plenty of potential but arrogant management has allowed it to become a ghost town only frequented by a small clique. Better trade comes from the daytime with staff from the local trading estate. The motel attached to the pub is a good idea, poorly executed. Due to the low standards of the current management the rooms are rarely full. Thankfully soon to be under new management. Maybe in time to retrieve the standards it once possesed many years ago. Food: Reasonable for the odd snack but poor for a meal Decor: The bar is run down and the lounge is marginally better Toilets: Basic, smelly but relatively tidy Service: General staff are ok but the manager needs a lesson in diplomacy and a surgeon to remove the big chip from his shoulder...! Estate type pub close to the Factories. No Real Ale, but comfortable enough. OK for a lunchtime bar snack. imdownthepub - 21 Feb 2006 07:40 |
