Very much open on Saturday 12 April. Lovely, old fashioned pub. Friendly barmaid and customers. Popped in as part of a Regent's Canal/Primrose Hill pub walk. Would visit again as it has lots of character. Its future is looking better than most anticipated (for the time being at least) due to strong reaction from locals and the general public and planning permission to convert the pub to residential housing was withdrawn on 17 January.

Pleasant enough pub, nice welcome.
Deuchars in good condition.
Snacks ok

Nice place tucked away in a backstreet just north of Regent's Park. Popped in for a quick pint last night. Only IPA was on with another tap out of use. People inside seemed to be having a decent chat and others were enjoying the outside seating. Has a homemade pizza menu too at reasonable prices. I've read reviews saying that St.John's Wood has no decent pubs but this place would suggest otherwise.

I don't think I'd ever ventured into this part of St John's Wood before. I found a pleasant pub in a rather nice middle class enclave of London. Two real ales were on - Deuchars IPA & Fullers London Pride. The bar is split into two separate parts, which are separated by a screen. One half is dark with black and white pictures and a coin collection. The other is brighter and more modern, with a couple of fruit machines, a games machine, a foldaway big screen. However, the old tiled fireplace was a nice feature. An outside patio was proving popular with sun worshippers yesterday, whilst inside horse racing was being shown on the TV.

Its lovely to see pride taken in a pub! This one is spotless and welcoming.
I think the owner likes Elvis! Good selection of drinks too. Well worth a stop in.

Lovely local pub.
No pretensions, just gets all the little things right:
o Beers always in good condition and served at right temperature.
o Glasses are always spotless
o Pub is immaculately clean
o Staff are friendly and welcoming
o (In my experience) Serves the best kept Guinness in London

No food.
2 wines: White & Red!
Good sized patio at front for sunny days / smoking.

Cosy enough old-fashioned looking Toby joint. Must admit, didn't check whether is now M&B or freehouse. Visited on a rainy Thursday lunchtime.

RAs on were Pride (could be better), and Flowers IPA (not bad). Service was reasonable. Better than a couple of the other pubs around, but wouldnt rave about it. 6/10 I think.

Very average Bass house. Less packed then Duke of York on Cricket dates. Ok for a quick pint but nothing more

Stayed for a drink when I picked up my sozzled other half, post cricket at Lords on Sunday.
I see what lipster means comparing it to the Queen Vic!
A refreshingly nice place to go for a drink or few, away from the other trendified pubs nearby. Friendly & comfortable...

Cute lil pub, filled with cricket gooers with Lourdes down the road. Friednly staff and the only place not overly packed on a week night, nice outdoor seating and easy way to pass an afternoon.

The dog portrait is scary, especially after a few beers!

Nice enough pub with a good atmosphere - even on a Sunday evening. I'm convinced the layout (and some of the punters) were the inspiration for the Queen Vic in Eastenders; but I might be alone on this as my drinking partners didn't necessarily agree..

Great pub. Went in for one after work and ended up leaving when the chairs were being put on the tables. Cheap drinks, friendly staff and well worth a visit.

Nice friendly pub, good caffreys, cheapest in the area and it has a wonderful picture of a dog in a suit.

Elvisly yours.

Yeah, a lovely pub. The Bass is a bit bland, and the jukebox a bit ropey, but have easily passed a few hours here.

Excellent pub, my local and its takes a good night out to move me from it. Good locals and great atmosphere although the beer selection is average I am not a picky man. Also a corner store just outside for emergencies.

This is such a nice friendly pub. The landlady remembered me from having visited a few times previously which was so nice. The decor is lovely, very traditional and very well co ordinated. The cleanest pub I have ever been in. Big thumbs up
