Old Swane Inn, Eveshamback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
Although a Wetherspoons the Old Swanne was a pleasant surprise.
Comfortable open-plan layout. upto 6 ale, including Ruddles and Greene King.

Surprisingly, this is a Wetherspoons with a bit of character. The bar staff claimed that it was the oldest pub in Evesham and if true, they seem to have succeeded in not wrecking it completely. Partitions create separate drinking areas, making a nice change. The barman who served us was fairly knowledgeable about his ales and ciders too. This is not always the case in 'spoons. During Saturday's visit, they had Caledonian African Pale Ale, Vale Red Kite, Titanic Iron Curtain, Prescot Spring Season's Best, Greene King Abbot, Ruddles Best & Fullers London Pride. There are no ciders immediately apparent. But if you ask, they probably had a few out the back. In this case, they had Westons Old Rosie & Cider Twist Winter Spice & Gwynt y Ddraig Black Dragon. There don't seem to be many decent pubs left in Evesham and the town itself (with all it's charity shops) appears to be in decline. But the Old Swanne seems fairly reliable.

In here last Saturday just before 11.00 and it quite busy with breakfast being served. As usual you have to wait for the coffee drinkers to get served. Anyway nice selection of real Ales @ £2.15 a pint. Two were sampled and were fine.

I remember when Evesham town centre was quite well off for pubs, but several have closed, and there's not much choice now.
As JDWs go we found this one quite OK.

Fairly average wetherspoons pub - cheap food, cheap drink and the usual low lifes hanging around the bar. Don't expect quick service at the bar.

Small for a Whetherspoons but with a large outside 'beer garden' to the rear. Friendly staff and cheap but OK food. Good mix of drinks in nice part of town, but a below average hostelry.

This is a J D Wetherspoons pub in Evesham the food is really cheap, has outside seating.

Nice all round pub, friendly staff. Often quite busy in the evenings.
