Regular user of this wetherspoons branch, always has a great selection of ale. Staff are very welcoming and polite, which is a rare trait in pubs these days. We usually swear clear of spoons food but have found this beach to be exceptional, we pay little and receive quality and service as if we are paying a lot. Defiantly worth a visit

Bit of a plain wetherspoons with no character and not much atmosphere BUT the beer was excellent. On 11/01/14 were Long Man brewery Old Man, Arundel Old Ale and a newie from Hogs Back. Well done manager.

I'm not a Wetherspoon fan but this pub exceeded expectations. Amazing variety of Surrey Hills ales along with Doom Bar and a good choice of cider on pumps. The Ranmore was amazing. Probably the best Wetherspoon's I've ever been too

typical spoons.
food bland,dont even bother trying to get a pint after 8 on a friday or saturday-20 deep at the bar.
breakfast bearable when you manage to catch a day when a cacophony of mothers with babies havent nested in there.

A Wetherspoons housed in the ground floor of a modern cinema complex isn�t the most endearing image and to be honest, this isn�t one of the chains more appealing branches. The pub name is one of the more interesting aspects, an Ounce apparently being a Wild Cat and and the Ivy Bush being the symbol of (don�t laugh at this point) a high class Inn. Throw in a few bits about an old pub and the Sackville Coat of Arms and you get probably the most convoluted pub name in the country. Who said a trip to Wetherspoons wasn�t educational! The interior feels very closed in and a mass of ugly air conditioning pipes hovering below the lowish ceilings hardly adds to the aesthetics. Despite having areas of raised seating and lounge bits in from of bookcases it all feels very open and lacking any intimacy. The only draw is the usual run of beers, ales and food which are all trademark Wetherspoons but the lack of ambience and such dull surroundings probably aren�t enough to warrant any second visits from me in the near future.

A barn of a place, with only a few tables near the window free from the Stygian gloom.
The ale I asked for was not on:it seems to be a bad trait of JDW pubs that they don't or won't turn the pump clips round to show this and it cab be annoying.
Otherwise it was okay on the lunchtime when I visited and the price of ale made a pleasant change from the usual West Sussex levels, where I don't suppose it will be long before we see the first �3 pint of bitter.

been in twice now, usual weatherspoons type grub. Won't be going back as both times a fight broke out and this was in the middle of the day. Not for the older generation who just want a cheap lunch and a drink with a friend
