Not a bad Wetherspoons to be fair.
The place felt spacious and had many seating areas.
My large mixed grill was fantastic.
8/10

In the afternoons there seems to be a lot of older folk (like me) here
I assume the twenty something's turn up about seven.
good range of beer , usual prices, beer garden up the back

5% Hop Bomb tasted well with my steak.

went in before going in the 7 stars had a ginger bitter the name of the brewery i have forgot.small drinking area to front of pub.for mid -week october was busy but soon got served

I took Mrs. BB here last week on a couple occasions. We had a great time watching the World Cup games on a big screen in nice relaxed surroundings on beautiful sunny days. The bar staff were very good/excellent. One even spent a good minute or two to talk me through their range of bottled ciders and seemed happy to do so. It's certainly not a traditional boozer. But if you like Wetherspoons food (I do), big leather sofas, people watching out the big windows, plenty of room for yourself and professional bar staff - give it a go.

With the Seven Stars closed (@4.00) in the afternoon I poped in here. Not bad and Skinners do realy tasty ales
|
I popped in here for a swift couple of pints last summer whilst the others I were with preferred to wander round the shops in the pouring rain. A typical Wetherspoons affair which was clean with reasonable service. I'm always impressed with Wetherspoons' range of local ales, so sampled both Skinners' ales they had on that day. No complaints at all
|
Don't like it. It has no soul at all.
|
Just horrible. Like a 1970s airport lounge.

I had no complaints about this "spoons" pub when we were there in August, and enjoyed the beers we had. Daytime so not over busy. Better than the "spoons" creche in Truro 100%. By creche I really mean the under 10 year olds who outnumbered adults! This one was great.

was in Hayle ror 2 weeks and came here the fist week for curry night as the reviews for the tremenheere in Penzance were appauling well all i can say is they must have swapt staff for the fortnight, the place was vertually empty but that didn't mean they spent time making sure the food was ok,it was shite, the curry night menus were unreadable photo copies and the place just seemed unorganized,we went to penzance the week after as we thought it couldn't be any worse, and had 5 really nice meals with great service allthough the place was packed,so i'm a bit confused, i've been here previous years and found it excellent,so it may have been the chefs day off
|
Definately one of the better Wetherspoon establishments. (See The Tremenheere, Penzance.) Bright, spacious, clean, pleasant staff and that all important criteria - a good choice of real ale.
|
one of,if not the best spoons you could find, all though the ones in the west country tend to be far superior to there London cousins, great beer, nice food, promt service, clean tables and helpful staff, sound familier?,not if you are use to the ones in London

Visited there yesterday on a very wet and blustery afternoon. Had a few great pints of Sheppy's Cider with excellent friendly service. Highly recommended.

gOOD BOOZER . CLEAN AND GREAT PRICES, THIS IS THE PLACE TO GOO
|
Have to agree with comment below - one of the better Wetherspoons I've been in. Even the food tastes better - must be the sea air!
|
OK, as Wetherspoons pubs go. Doesn't seem terribly busy compared to some but has large windows overlooking the taxi rank and bus station so quite a good place to sit back and people-watch. Usual Wetherspoon beers and menu - cheap and cheerful!
