Greene King IPA @ 1.79 a pint - not very well kept - Police searching women shopping bags for shoplifting inside - toilets are a disgrace

Last time I was in there the prices had risen sharply, this used to be a cheap place but does not seem to be so now. A bloke was telling me it used to be 3 stories high, and he had managed to fall down 2.

pippins perch was removed a while ago. it now qualifies for the "monty python this pub wouldn't voom if you put 15,000 bleedin' volts through it" award

!I think this was the in place to go when my mum was young"!? maybe you're right. I was there too. This was the Appletree, and has really nice room on the first floor which was part of its State Management heritage, not open any more due to .. fire regulations, corporate management policy etc.. anyway it did have its day when I was a lad EH!?

I think this was the in place to go when my mum was young; these days it always seems a bit of a dodgy. Its to bright inside and defenatly has a problem with the dcor. Its a shame because its in a good location and could be a really nice place.

Oh my god, this pub used to be the trendiest place in Carlisle, now it's one of the skankiest...cold food, dirty cutlery, shabby interior, dirty and smokey. Pippins has fallen off its perch...
