The place has gone to the dogs, use to be a great place to drink. You now have to wipe your feet to leave, stinking dirty.

"NOLIES"??? MORE LIKE FULLOFLIES! Before this pub was taken over sometime in April by the drunken, greasy slimeball that has the pub now it was amazing, brilliant staff with good personalities, they were always up for fun, and always made customers feel welcome, regular or new. It was always clean and tidy with something good going on! They even held charity events. Now, the only people who need charity are the owners, they are dirty, rude and so very lacking in experience! Bring back the old team and raise the pub from the gutter which is where it is now!!!

What is "nolies" on?? That message is full of contradictions. Read the message 27/4/06..thats when it was a good pub!!! Apparently changed ownership again in April 07....I went there in June, the bar staff were rude and inexperienced (lacking personality)and the queues outside were false as there was no-one in there!! No atmosphere, dirty toilets, dirty glasses and yes the staff could do with a scrub!!! Much better places in Blackwood to go now!

this pub was a fantastic place to go,what has happened the bar staff have gone,and so have the manners!!!new owner is a drunken pervert and the staff coould All do with a good wash.what a dump since they all took over in april!!!

Visited Blackwood on a Friday evening, decided to give Porters a try.....what a night ! Excellent music, great looking men and fun bar staff who had a laugh with us.....they were all good looking too, danced on the bar for us at the end of the night...what bodies! Something has happened to this place as previous reviews make it sound naff....try it out....we'll be back for more!

This used to be as rough as hell (slashed seats etc) until they tarted the place up into a very bright and glitzy place with no real ale. Bouncer wouldnt let me in wearing a rugby shirt - tosser.

This pub has drastically gone down hill in the last year - what has happened!!!???
If you visit it in the week by 9pm the people behind the bar are 'cleaning the pub' and in order to do this they shut off the main section of the pub, therefore there are only four chairs to sit on (which are directly by the main door). When you go into a pub you should be able to sit where you want - not be told where to sit!!!!! This pub is empty on the weekends whereas a year ago it would be jam packed!!! The owners should really rethink their cleaning time schedule pretty sharpish and at least welcome the remaining customers they have left!!!!
