Rock Inn, Yelvertonback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
The Rock was a strange find in this part of Devon. It's a large place with a number of big rooms, with an outdoor area at the front where you can get your ale from a hatch. Looked fairly upmarket. But it was certainly busy. Ales were fairly standard for the area. Sharp's Doom Bar & Dartmoor Jail Ale & Legend were supplemented by Bay's Summer Ale.

This is a massive place with many different bar areas. Unfortuantly for us we ended up in what seemed tp be a eating area. Not what we were looking for and at the time we did not know about the others bars in here, so we just had the one and then caught the bus back to plymouth.

Large pub just off the roundabout in the centre of Yelverton. For some reason it did not give that "come on in" feeling about it. Having said that we did enter. The smell of damp, sweaty socks was overpowering - there must have been a lot of walkers in that day. The food looked to be ready-made meals, the heat up and serve sort. Left to find somewhere better.

huge pub . divided up into separate bars as used to be . the huge lounge for couples, families and the middle classes . the back bar for lads, tv, pool, fruit machines, darts, geezerishness . the small Rock Bar, the drinkers pub bit, olders local, and people wanting a quiet drinks without any distractions or dining paraphenalia around .
