An interesting mix of main bar, raised area& two side rooms (one with a dartboard!) Beer was on top form as well.

Walked in, huge queue at bar with nobody serving, left without purchasing and won't be back.

To be honest this place is in a desperate need of a revamp. It does look very tired and could benefit with a spruce up. On the positive side the consistency of the quality of their ale's is bang on.
Friendly bar staff make you feel welcome.

Handy for the theatres, but as per the previous post it is a little grubby. I Have to report, a very good bar maid though, very pleasant, pretty and Knew who was next!

Not the best 'Spoons we've been in and felt a bit grubby. Usual food fare and average choice of ales. Maybe supplies were a bit low after Christmas. Nice location a a square off Bradshawgate

One of the best Wetherspoons outlets. A decent number of effiecient staff on duty and a good range of real ales in a comfortable environment.

This has always been a meeting place before the piss up begins. Best wetherspoons for the real ale. Interesting locals frequent this pub with 'Devon Dereck' being one of them.

Beer Festival started yesterday 50 Real Ales from around the world 1.65 a pint. The best JDW pub in the North West for Real Ale!!!!!!!!!!!
|
Cold.. unfriendly.. cursory service and how the hell do you spoil Fosters?
|
great fast at pouring beer. abbott was excellent one of the better jd pubs again seem dear by greater manchester prices as fosters was 2-30 when its only 2-20 in my local pub

Reading previous reviews it seems this place has been a bit hit and miss. I slipped in here for a quick one before catching the train home and I must admit I was impressed. Having sampled some pretty poor Wetherspoons pubs lately, I thought this one was well above average - and my guest ale was lovely. Can't comment on the food unfortunately, but decent if you fancy a pint.

Not one of the better Wetherspoons pub, but to be fair I did go in the afternoon, might well be worth another try though

I was in Weatherspoons on 16th August. I was appaled by the service and the lack of customer satisfaction we had. The area was cold and we explained and the did not even apoligise or try to facilite. Iwas appaled by this and disgusted by this.

We loved it in here, contrary to the review above we found the service good, the curry club as great, nice tasty cheap burgers too. Busy but no attitude.

When visiting for a meal and drink on Monday 6th March 2006 we found the meal quality extremely poor and of no comparison with previous Wetherspoon pubs. Both my husbands meal and my own were cold, his new potatoes virtally raw the cheese on my chicken not melted, the jacket potato old and tough and the mushroom (supposedly large) and tomato missing. When we asked for this to be rectified the meals were taken back to the kitchen and returned to us hotter but still with the mushroom and tomato missing. Once again the waitress went back to the kitchen and returned with a minute mushroom andtiny half tomato. As the meal was virtually uneatable still, we left and would not consider visiting again.
