A right old dive - full of oiks. The toliets stink as well. Avoid

Why is 'Squares' as it has been rebranded still open? It caters for idiots in stripy jumpers who wear cheap gold chains over their clothing, who like to drink flat lager, alchopops and two for one naff cocktails. Lurid sticky carpets, scruffy furniture, stale smell. I walked past the other Saturday night and saw it was half empty. Those that had made the effort, 40yr old women of hen do, young scallys spoiling for fight, chinese man selling flashing light thingies. Oh wait a minute, the chinese man was just hanging around the entrance. He knew his target market well.

No atmosphere. Went in 3 days out of 7, and still not stocked up on the wines. Staff not bothered, bit of a barn really, people only go in because it is the longest bar in leeds. No real ales

this is one of the worst pubs i've ever been in. totally devoid of atmosphere and character. the barmaid couldn't even pour the lager properly and was a giggling idiot. it was very expensive and was foul and undrinkable. just a big empty cavern where people go to get hammered. many years ago it used to be the peel which was a great pub with a rock disco downstairs. happy days. i'll never set foot in there again.

I visited the `Square On The Lane` pub in Leeds to celebrate my birthday on a hot, sunny July evening.
The meal was good, the wine excellent, the service, outstanding.
Vicky served us. She is a younger, blonder, prettier version of the American film actress `Goldie Hawn`.
If the Landlord of this pub wants to keep his customers returning - then make sure Vicky is on duty. She is more than worth her weight in gold or beer.
