This is now a Weatherspoon, been there 5 times always quite liked it. Would go there more if my girlfriend wasnt a Weatherspoons snob (even though she quite likes it in there herself)

Very cheap cocktails Mon - Thurs. Only 3 .... that's right ... 3. Excellent food. Only problem being that they could do with a few more bar staff. DJ plays nice 80's music on Fri nights.

Ignore the last reviewer ... he probably has the personality of a snail. Went back into this place on a Friday night .... it's changed a lot ... lovely soft leather arm chairs & nice contemporary decor (much better than the old tired Town House). Service & food is OK, not brilliant but no complaints. Drinks prices seem to be the same as everywhere else and they do wicked cocktails. But the best thing about this place is the music ... They now have a DJ on Friday nights playing lots of classic 80's soul, funk, disco, reggae, pop, etc. Some of the tunes he played brought back so many memories. And the best thing about it .... not a chav/hoodie or rude girl in sight. The result - a mature tasteful crowd foot-tapping, singing along & having a good time. A breath of fresh air in Ealing at last. I used to be a regular at the North Star (which is in serious need of a make-over) ... I will be a regular here from now on.

Visited it as the new Slug and Lettuce. If you have not yet been I would say Don't bother. The atmosphere has changed beyond recognition and definitely in a good way

It has closed down. It used to be a cracking pub at one time and for the last few years has still been reasonable. It will be reopening as a Slug and Lettuce pub.

I have noticed it seems like mostly students in this pub but they do a brilliant pub quiz on sunday nights, all the staff seem really friendly. I go out all the time in ealing and dont have anything bad to say about this pub

David Scrimshaw? Kudos on Heinleken export, thank christ they started pushing this properly in UK, not as good as what you get in the Dam but maybe its just the hos and weed. Anyways, quiz on sunday is tough, they got some plasma screens and video bowling. Remember if the urinals talk to you its usually time to go home, but not here.

Was much more fun as the original Crispins.

Hogs head is one of my favourite bars in Ealing. It attracts a wide range of people, young and old. One thing I do dislike about it though is that it is a bit open and I feel like you don`t have any privacy at your table. Place is kept really clean though and looks modern.

Best pub on Ealing Broadway, though that's not saying all that much. Waitress service a brilliant thing and the ales are really well kept. Wide variety of wines on sale too if that's your bag. Totally agree about the loos being hard work though.

used to love this pub but recently fri and sat nights are about drunk 16 year olds falling about.Real shame as pub itself is nice.

The best pub I have ever been to outside of Zone 1 london.

Great staff,

This place is great any time. they showed a premership game and the grand prix at the same time on sunday.

They have four 32 inch wide screens showing sport or music videos.

The food is cheep for what you get.. The cheff should get a medal.

The drinks will get 10-10

The only down sides are that the toilets are up narrow stairs and the pool table is over prices 1.50

had a great night with my boyfriend in here once

Barmaids serve you at your table inside or out so you don't get the exercise of going up to the bar. Customers easy on the eye on a Friday night. Real ale well kept.

yes, as chain pubs go, not bad - but that's not saying much is it?
go to O'Neills? that's even worse!
at least the ales here are well-kept and inexpensive.
meat-market Thurs-Sun nights, so avoid like the plague unless desperatley seeking...but good for footie, with 3 plasma screens.

Should turn the air conditioning a bit - even on the hotteset summer days had to take a jumper. Known in my circles as 'curiously soul-less'

a few younger people to be seen in there more recently but all behave reasonably.great place to chill with mates.try to grab the sofas by going early.have some great largers there but no beer garden.a place to go with friends but not a place to meet new people.slightly out of the way.waitresses come to u rather than having to loose your seat by going to the bar.6.5/10

Better than most Hogsheads but still not great.
Good for: folk who like bright colours

Another Pub to be ruined by a refurb. Oh well, suggest you go to Oniels instead.
bigbob - 17 Nov 2003 10:45
This pub has gone down since the refurbishment... fewer beers and loss of the No Smoking area.
Andrew - 15 Aug 2003 20:41
The best for quality beers in Ealing. Relaxed feeling, but a little out of the way - and no garden bar. Also, the food is substandard. But as long as the ales are tops, who cares?
Ange - 3 Jul 2003 14:15
One of the few pubs I would go into in Ealing now that is not trouble or full of tinnyboppers!
Viking - 13 Jun 2003 15:07
Beer here is obviously excellent, like all Hogsheads. Staff are a bit slow when it comes to food though.
