This has quite changed - interior has been modernised more open plan. Lots of tellies for the sport and two ales (both Wadworth..6X and Golden) tried the Wadworth golden brew which was just about okay.

Maybe I am naive but I disagree with the earlier comments.
Friendly corner located pub just down from Crewe Alex FC and the station.
Large bar greets you as you enter with an open plan back room that is home to a pool table.
Concreted patio area to the rear with benches.
Light and airy feel to the place with a mix of clientele.
A free house with a good range of the usual suspects on tap, though the Greene King IPA wasn't the best.
All in all a good pub.

Well worn pub is a good description for this pub, this could be one of the best pubs in the area if only the time, money and effort was put into it. There now seems to be a handpump on the bar, but it was not in use at the time of my visit, it had a Boddingtons clip on it and the staff did say it was arriving soon...so as Boddingtons is no longer boddingtons we wont hold our breath. Friendly enough to visit.

Run of the mill old blokes local. Old school , open plan well worn place with a pool table. No ale so went for a pint of Stella.. No great shkes but at least it was open unlike the rest of Crewe.

OK sort of pub, let down by a lack of real ale. First impression is that its very much a local's 'local', but they seemed friendly enough to a stranger who had obviously just walked up from Crewe station.

You have to go to this pub more than once to really appreciate it. Best place to go for a bit of craic in crewe Try sundays if your brave enough to get up an sing, or just to watch others have a laugh

Nice pub close to the train station. Made to feel very welcome by staff and a good place to watch live football. Decent beer and a good jukebox. Also a pool table in the back.
