A riverside pub that clearly gets very popular in the warm weather when drinkers can sit outside and watch the world and boats go by. We went for a meal and we were pleasantly surprised with the menu and the food served. Prices are reasonable and the service and food were good. A decent pint of Londons Pride and although not a massive selection of ales it was ok. Certainly we would look to go back there again.

This is a great all round pub.
In the summer it's great to sit on there large riverside terrace and have a bite to eat from there menu or if you want you can sit in there restaurant and have a full menu with a range of choices in the restaurant menu... Pasta, salads, burgers, ribs... Steak to die for plus much more. I've eaten here loads and never once had any problems, and if there ever were im sure the friendly staff would help solve any problems,The choice of alcoholic beverages and non alcoholic are great,
In the winter the heaters are on and with a back bar that is heated with several large heaters and a fire enough to keep anyone warm.
The back bar is the place to be I recon.. Pool table, dart board, smoking decking, tv's with up to date music videos and also shows a range of live sports on the screens, but the best night has to be a Friday night... Nice and busy.. Great Crowd of people all ages and every Friday a live band which vary from blues, jazz, and some rock. Karaoke as well on some nights which has it's mixed views some not so good singers but some amazing ones as well. No mater what's happening here i always feel welcome. So if you have a so called 'bad experience' make sure you have the right kings head as I don't think your experience is from this one!!

Re: the 11th March Comment. What a shame idiots from other pubs leave stupid comments on this site. Mmmmm...... is it a coincidence that the poster leaves a glowing report on the same day for another pub in the same town, wouldn't be hers by any chance would it? The Kings Head has meals starting from 4.95 so overpriced it is not and it is Cask Marque tested so the beer is of a very good standard.

i was recommended this pub by a friend but im not sure why..... beer not really up to much, the food was okay but over priced!!. will not be going there again or recommending it to anyone!.

This easily one of the best riverside pubs we have visited. The beer is good, especially London Pride and Butcombe Bitter. Old Rosie for real cider lovers too! The food is excellent with a T-bone to die for and the staff are very friendly and helpful. All in all a great place to visit......ate here every night as the menu was both varied and exceptionally good value! Treat yourself...pay this pub a visit!

I ate in this pub last week. I was very impressed i have to say. The staff were all very polite and helpful and the new menu and food was to die for, and not too expensive, like most. The service was very quick, concidering they were very busy, and all in all it was a nice day out with the family. The bar staff were very chatty and gave a friendly atmosphere throughout. The toilets were clean, which was a bonus. I will certainly be recomending it to all of my colleges and friends.

all in all a bit of a cattle market type place, they want to feed you then send you on your way. Staff arent particularly friendly either especially the management. Beer want bad but thats about it.

Busy riverside pub, but with little interest or love for Real Ale drinkers. Felt like we were in the way really when they wanted to sell food to the masses.
|
Always crowded. Not because its good but because of its position by the river. A favourite of the 'brummy navy' as the locals like to call the tourists from the river. Nothing to recommend it, but nothing really bad about it too. Another chips with everything type pub.
