Pub On The Pond, Swanseaback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
Just re-opened after a major refurbishment, and are now going under the banner of the " Fair and Square " group. Seem to be offering VERY cheap meals almost from day one, and a " Kids eat Free " offer too. I've not been in here yet, so cannot comment on the place, but they are advertising heavily locally nowdays......

Walked past here this afternoon, and was suprised to see it had closed down, not sure how long its been shut though, or if it was closed for a refurbishment. Certainly no signs of life here today.......

Called in early afternoon today ( 23 Dec 08 ) and was very suprised how quiet it was, no Xmas parties in here at all, but just a few people taking advantage of their " 2 meals for 10 " offer. Strange feeling in the Pub too, with no music playing, which may explain their lack of customers. In fact it was pretty boring actually, and we left after one drink.......

P.S..One VERY annoying thing about going here ( and its nothing to do with the Pub itself ) is that there is a Car park right behind the Pub, and its the only place to Park, but the Council will charge you to use it. It was 2:00 for 2 Hours last time I used it, but you may be charged more if you overstay your limit here...So be careful

This can be a very, very busy Pub in the Summer, its ideal for taking your Family, as it is right next to the Boating Lake, and Crazy Golf course, and its in a Park too. The service can be a bit hit and miss though, and there is often a long wait for food, or to get served at the Bar, but its normally due to the amount of people using the place, not the staff themselves. Well worth a visit....

Nice pub near the uni. Silent, out of the way and well worth a stopover if walking to mumbles from swansea!

not a bad pub and right by the uni and the park

what a place to be in the sumer if you have kids. the park is right by it with a boating lake, bouncy castles and other activities for them. the food tha is served is incredible value for money(2 4 10). i dont think i have ever seen such hard working bar staff as the people that work here, constantly running round like headless chickens, well done to them all for such an exellent pub!!

No real beer. Newcastle brown and junk beer only. IIRC NB was reasonably priced though, so it's OK to stop off for one if you're crawling back into town from Mumbles or vice versa.
