Wellington, Eccleston Parkback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
Has always been an excellent local. Many of the patrons have been regulars for many years. Visitors in past years include Harold Wilson, our PM at the time, Bill Shankly and Matt Busby, who had a drink in the public bar after a Liverpool vs Manchester United match. Has always had friendly and competent bar staff. I live in the south these days but always visit the Welly on my trips back to Prescot and have always met old friends on these occasions.

Went in this weekend and the food was really good and the prices are good too. Great place for tea, lunch or a drink.

This pub needs a total restart, visited here with my family for a meal, the beer had mold in it, the food was cold and served not as ordered, salad still had soil on it!!! absolutely appalling. wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy. Only 2 out of the 9 meals we ordered were okay. Very very dissatisfied customers!!

This would probably rank as the best pub in the area if it were not overshadowed by its mighty neighbour, the Grapes. For all its life, the Wellington has been shivering in the darkness, peering up in bafflement and awe at the Grapes.

This pub could be improved if the staff were more courteous and knew something about the beer. How to serve it etc... unfortunately the majority of staff are young teens and suffer from a lack of training. Licensee.......who is he / she??? never on site. Why do I visit it....it saves a long walk to the next pub, which incidentally is worse!!

Not a bad pub, nice range of beers and some very nice meals available. Pleasant and no scallies or chavs, what more can you ask for !
