Doesn't bother me in the slightest pubs closing in the town centre as i don't do town and i haven't done for years basingstoke is not a good place for drinking because of all the mockneys,chavs and drunks and general lack of decent pubs.

.......yes it's true, u will stick to the carpet if u don't move for a few minutes or so,... and they used to have (not sure if their still there) 2 wheely bins for bottles and you'd get deafened every 5mins or so when someone lobbed an empty bottle in there,
Oh and the toilets were just nasty,
This pub used to be alright about 5 or 6 years ago,.... i even spent one New Years eve there,.....
now tho is a different story,
Last two times i went, one night was full of little kids trying to be hard, next time me and my mate were probably the youngest in there by a long way (and we're 28) very strange.....
summary, very dirty pub in desperate need of a revamp,

full of kids, not very nice. make sure you go to the toilet before you go in, cos you will not want to go whilst ure in there- disgusting. if you stand still you will stick to the carpet too. need a fundraising event for a dyson.

All good points made... I used to be able to get in this place when I was 16 and that was a good few years ago. This place has been need of a major revamp for a long time. I think the staff are friendly and the music can be good but there is plenty of room for improvement. Get in the girls loos and stock up on toilet paper and get some locks as well. I will definately come for a night out when the improvements are made. ;)

This place is like a youth club. Little girls in tiny outfits snogging spotty boys with little c***s while the Grandad with the flashing mac on perves in the corner. Beware
