A locals pub (which is obvious being an estate pub).......,but I've been in several times now and enjoyed it every time!! Locals are welcoming & friendly, as are the staff!
They've recently opened the kitchen, but am yet to try the food, but entertainment of live bands (I've seen 2) have been brilliant!
Definitely somewhere not to dismiss & give a go when passing!

Full of miserable locals trying to lookk like Vinnie Jones. Avoid

A locals' pub and not very friendly either. Rowdy. No need to go there really with the town centre so nearby
|
First pub in which I ordered a pint for myself so has to get a ten for the memories......
|
Not a bad pub, locals are friendly and keep to themselves.

Respectable estate pub good summing there Alexh1982. Looks a little intimidating from the outside, but I quite enjoyed myself in here watching the second half of England vs Switzerland. My beer (Marstons) was in good shape. Sat at a nice raised area and pub clean and well-kept inside.
Clientele were almost exclusively middle-aged blokes. Fair enough.
Tidy. I think Id pop back in at some point for a swift one.

A modern peculiar angular purpose built single storey pub to accomodatate the the London overspill that came here in the sixties.

Better now since it has been redecorated. A lot lighter. Seems a bit like a teleport to a respeciable London Estate pub, a world away from Basingstoke's Winchester Road

Bit more appealing than it looks. Seems like a locals pub but visitors are perfectly welcome.

I quite like this pub, good for sports and lots of outside seating for the summer evenings
