No Mel Gibson (thank you very much!), just a picture of Winston Churchill (!!) and as the landlord is a Rangers fan (thats QPR to all you fellas North of the Border)there's a few footie bits in there as well. As for the bitter not sure, sorry!

Do they still serve Scottish beer? And are the pictures of Mel Gibson (aka Braveheart) and Maradona (aka 1986 'Scottish' Player of the Year) still adorning the wall [my previous comments refer]?

Changed hands and called the Gunmakers. A proper pub in amongst so many bars....Its now an English pub, got a great atmosphere, and everyone is friendly and will make you feel really welcome, a really good pub.

Met my missus in here.
Went downhill after they got rid of the pool table.
Very Scottish. Dart board remains - pretty friendly.

Sadly, on each of my last three visits, there was no bitter available. This is pretty close to being a pub with no beer.

Nice little pub - very handy for a quick pint after (or during!!) Xmas shopping.
Also sells Scottish beer (currently Caly 80/-) :-). Not surprising given that it's a Scottish pub. But Sassenachs like me welcome - just don't let the barman catch you sniggering at the piss-poor attempts to mock the English and the pictures of Mel Gibson on the wall.

Watched the Scotland v Australia match there - nice atmosphere, big screen, friendly staff, good beer - shame about the rugby
