If you like a friendly atmosphere and enjoy having more than just the one then th Cocks is for you.
Not recommended for the feint hearted, if you are offended by dirty jokes, lewd but wickedly observed sarcasm, lads enjoying a game of football or not having an umbrella in your drink then go elsewhere.
I love this place, it's a pubs pub! When you've finished having a couple of quieter ones down the road at the Mariners trot up to the Cocks to finish the night in drunken but thouroughly entertained style!

Every time I go in this place I find the locals and interesting bunch - quiet it aint! Spitfire and London Pride on in terms of ales. I had a pint of Pride, not great but passable.

This pub is a classic, tiny little ouitside bit thats quite nice if not smoked out by the 20 or so iron lungs. Wasn't half as nasty as i was hoping with a name like the fighting cocks. Probably wouldn't survive without the added cash flow from regulars government incapacity and job seekers benefit. Worth a look just so you can say you went to a pub called the fighting cocks and came out in one piece.

Quite strange really. Can be quiet but if its taken over by Spidge and his group of friends who are absolute lunatics then the place turns into cross between a self catering holiday in Beruit and a group of Lemmings.
You know it's wrong but you just can't help yourself!!

New Wine bar sperate from main pub is very good

seems like a rather quiet pub, though being able to chose your own songs via the jukebox adds to the entertainment
