We visited on a "Gavin + his Guitar" night for the 3rd time. Gavin is a very gifted singer/guitar player who has a wide range of musical material. He usually visits on a Weds. night (though not often enough for us) + on his night the pub is busy + atmospheric. He takes requests via a book that he passes round the tables.
The bar staff are cheerful + polite. The food is traditional pub fayre, cooked to a good standard with huge portions + reasonable prices ( for the area).
There is ample parking ( off road), a good garden + a skittle alley out back.

Last time I went there (a few years ago) the landlord and his son seemed violent scum-bags or have things changed?

Went there last Sunday (Father's Day) for lunch with the family. Staff were friendly and generally good atmosphere. London Pride was in good shape, but the food was a bit disappointing, though they were happy to accept our comments afterwards, and said that they are in the process of improving the food side, so we might try again another time.

Recently ate here and was presently surprised. I had a Beef Stir Fry and my wife chose Liver and Bacon. Meals took a time to arrive but it was a Friday evening. The quality of the food was good and we will definitely go again. There was no separate restaurant but there was plenty of room and a good friendly atmosphere in the bar. There were at least four staff on duty behind the bar making for quick service of drinks. Good car parking facilities and a large garden

I visit here weekly and have never even seen a hint of trouble, the two landlords are friendly and accommodating. Great food reasonably priced, also good wine list. At its best in the summer with large rear garden and tables at the front to watch the world go by.

No, I can vouch for the fact that there are often fights in the pub. I rmember a proper dust-up a few years ago between about thirty people at a wake. Still, I have to commend them for staying on their side of the bar and not letting the melee come between me and my pint. Good show!

Nice pub and beer garden, good atmosphere and music, well heeled clientele. Food took a while to arrive and was OK, but nothing special- choice was a bit limited, pretty much everything with chips (no pasta or rice dishes for example).

Good atmosphere, attentive staff and beer well kept and served. Live music on Wednesday evenings is high quality

Not sure wich pub the guy who saw the fights was in? But it can't have been the Surrey.
Very friendly pub, good beer even better food and good atmosphere. Very good live music on Wed (no bands) just guitar and singer.

This is my friends local. Everytime I pop in with him there is a fight. Much better than the 'other' pub in the village. Staff Friendly and they serve a good pint of the black stuff.

Great pub with good food. The staff & customers are always friendly. it has music so attracts a younger-ish crowd. They have recently extended the range of beers, which is always good. Has a large secluded garden
