This pub is being re-developed into flats.

Pub is currently closed again. Seems that there is activity so lets hope the new incarnation will provide a better future.

Thought I'd go in there for a quick pint as I had not been in there in a while. For mr the place never really stood out as a pub to visit and it's only redeeming feature was that there were always a couple of real ales on in good condition. Alas this is no more and there are better pubs in the area.

Pub has now re-opened and been refurbished. The people are friendly and welcoming, there are a few regulars who I met whilst down there who are really nice. It is nicely laid out with seperate eating area, not the largest of pubs but big enough to have a decent size party!! They are trying out various entertainments to see what works, live music, karaoke and quiz nights. All they need is a fantastic crowd of people....

Visited this week to find pub temporarily closed because of probate settlement problems with the estate of the previous owner. Disappointing to know that the excellent cellar is out of use.
If the new owners read this, please post a notice on this and other sites when you reopen. I wish you well.

This pub has gone through bad times. Now Taken over and run by people who built up a nearby pub from nothing to a huge success. The range and quality of beer is excellent. At our session this week, we tried 3 ales from different brewers and they were all top class.
The pub now shows great promise and I would recommend to any real ale fan a visit to try out the cellar. You will not be disappointed. My visit this week was the first in over 5 years and I will definitely return. I give it 7 for the beer and comfort. Some refurbishing inside and out will put it in the 10/10 class.
