Went in one lunchtime. Was empty when I went in the pub. Ok meal

Popped in Wednesday night, very busy with a charity night. Service was still good. There where 4 beers on the bar. Courage best and abbots which are on all the time. Plus 2 guest beers. Ruddles best and hobgoblin. tried both of these very good. The pub has got better over the last 2 years. With Jeff and Karen taking the helm. Well worth looking in when you are passing.

Here on a Sunday afternoon, very quiet. Two pumps serving Courage Best, two others with clips turned around and I couldn't see what they were. Plenty of room inside, reasonably large beer garden outside. Nothing special.

Popped in on the off-chance when passing through. Nice enough pint in a friendly enough pub.

Tribal or not, this seems like a friendly pub and the beer was good. It was quiet when we visited - Monday lunchtime - and we now know they do food six days a week, not on Mondays.

Top quality pub. Good food, good beer, plenty of seats. What more do you want from a pub? It's a quick stagger up the alleyway to the station, as well.

Yes everyone knows everyone, so what. The beer's good, the atmosphere's good and they like dogs. Great for a pint after work on a Friday night.

Tribal ? We even have a chief called Chiefy would you believe.

I get the sense this place is a bit tribal, everybody seems to know each other and stuff like that. They do seem to be more welcoming in here than in other traditional pubs though (I won't mention any names)
