Camberley has one long High Street with a number of pubs. I think I did the two pubs at the furthest ends. The Claude du Vall is a Wetherspoons at the southern end, nextdoor to and opposite what looked like a couple of rough establishments, judging by the clientele outside. This pub is fairly small by 'spoons standards. The windows at the front open completely to make it a little nicer during the summer months. I believe there was also an outdoor courtyard to the side. Ales were Greene King Abbot, Sharps Doom Bar, Ruddles Best, Dark Star Revelation, Oakham JHB, Twickenham Summer Sun, Surrey Hills Greensand IPA & Ascot Aureole Ale. Cider was Old Rosie. Service was friendly and for once they accepted a CAMRA voucher for a pint of cider. A better than average Wetherspoons and probably the best pub in the town.

Went for meal with wife recently. Two meals for 5.99 deal is cheaper than many JDW pubs - excellent value. Food service was quicker than can happen (at busy times) and ale was excellent. Even when there is a queue it is well worth waiting!

Not a fan of wetherspoons, this place confirms why,I should have known better.
Pub menus are always nicely laid out and tables clean noteably by one particular member of the bar staff,, however, the person doing the cleaning should spend some time behind the bar serving the ageing and patient customers so they can eventually put their beer on the nice tables. Looks nice but customers get bored of waiting and go elsewhere. Turnover should be counted on takings not shiney tables or menus nicely presented only.... I would consider that persons other responsibilities be explained clearly. Bottled cider is good, if luck it's in stock.

A Spoon's that does JHB can't be that bad surely
In here on Saturday 13th. Beers were rapidly going off when we came in, Moondance and Oakham JHB got returned. A couple came on later. Food was ok as expected. Average.
Below average Spoons, not welcoming, beer OK.
Does anyone know why they have between 2 & 4 bouncers on the door at all times? I kid you not, they had 4 on duty when I walked by last Sunday, at 3pm! I'm pretty sure it's no longer a organic knife exchange these days.
A really good pub, plenty of choice of Real Ales, Real Ciders, and Bottled Beers, Service can be slow at times in busy periods like lunchtimes and evening but not to worry, its worth the wait as the beers are excallant. Ruddless and Abbotts are the regular beers with 3 to 4 guest ales. Had a pint of Wallop and Aligator Ale today, really good!

went in sat afternoon, service very slow only two serving. food orders and other people paying for drinks with credit cards got served first time in 10 mins gave up on secound attempt. left for goose across the high street. pity because it is more than average spoons
Popped in during last month's JDW ale fest, only 4 out of 8 handpumps were on,although the ale was decent enough. A tiny beer "garden" available, nothing amazing all in all for JDW, 6/10
Decent Spoons... Served at least 4 real ales on when I visisted recently... Full of strange people but better than other places in Camberley like RSVP....
12 months since i went in was on christmas ale ott was a excellent pint at 1-89.only thing service was a bit slow
A horrible pub full of thieves, junkies and pikeys.

My first choice of pub in Camberley, their is so much chocie of real ale, bottled beer, real cider, and forgein beers. drinks are well kept and at a decent price too. All real ales are 1.80 a pint and ruddles is 1 a pint. 10 Real Ales on offer, 5 are a Guest Ales. These come from all round the conutry and are different every time. I havent seen the same all on more than once as a gusses ale. forgein beers inculde leffe which is my fav, eldinger, hoegarden, storfam, and lots more. their beligem, french, swiss, dutch, german, and even japnesse and chinse lagers!
2 large tv's showing Sky Sports News & Sky News, a short walk to the train station - when comeing out of the pub its the first thing you can see, its that short a walk you can do a rolly polly to it,
An all round excallant pub!!!!!!!!!!!! 10/10!!!!!!
Very good selection of Real Ales avaialbe, popped in here before catching the Train to Aldershot for the Football, the pub is oppersite the pub, you can see from the pub! I had a Black Addder Ale, plus some Greene King IPA which is on offer at 99p a pint until futher notice, this reassion is bad but good things always come out of bad! anyway other beer i have enjoyied here recently are; Leffe, Rosy Nosey, Santas Knock, Couerage Best, Pedigree, Abbotts, and Old Growler

A great pub, can be very very busy with younger crowds thrudsay to saturday nights - Plenty of Real Ales on offer, upto 10! good food and a short walk from the station (you can see it from the front of the pub) 1.69 for a pint of ale! very good indeed!
OK of a lunch time but forget Thurs, Fri, Sat night unless you are 21 or under. Beer usually OK - but echo previous comments - some guet beers can get past there best.
Can' really pass a judgement on this place. Never stuck round long enough. One thing I will say, is Camberley is full of scallies. And they tend to hang around between the shopping centre, Yates's and the Goose.

was a lovely pub when it first opened, we had the best team of staff, best beer and best atmospere on a friday/saturday night, but that was 5years ago!

standard weatherspoons, absolutely busting at the seams on friday nights, cue is 10 deep, toke 25 mins to get served. should not have bothered. usual mixture of locals as you see in all town centre weatherspoons, chavs, council, business, students and nutters
We had to hand back cloudy pints on the last two visits.
If you get a fresh pint of the guest beers they are good but they often don't turn over quick enough so you can get served vinegar as there seems to be no monitoring of quality by the staff.

It is without doubt one of the worst furnished Wetherspoons pubs I have ever been into. The designer should not be allowed to do anymore pubs in this awful style! Admittedly the visit was some months ago but I would not go back again. Quite depressing as it made you finish your pint as quickly as possible to get out.
The wetherspoons of Camberley. Generally like most wetherpoons i think, does lack atmosphere on a wednesday afternoon. Then again thats hardly the most popular time for pubs
