Packed with lively pensioners Generally middle-aged clientele Not packed with young people - has a generally middle aged clientele - but spotlessly clean
So are us oldies supposed to apologise for going to the pub? Rampant ageism, but I do like the last one, implying it's clean DESPITE the age of the customers. By the way, it is a good pub - for all ages.

A conspicuously well-kept, comfortable pub, which also has one of the best "outdoor" covered smoking areas in Stockport, on a south-facing terrace at the rear.
|
Sociable is the world - packed with lively pensioners at lunchtime enjoying cheap but warming pub food, and very good Hatters. High standards.
|
Very presentable pub with top-notch Robinsons ales. A good community pub and very handy for Rose Hill station.

Great quiet sociable and friendly drinking hollow although never tried the food. Generally middle-aged clientele which is inevitable since most young people tend to drink out of village or if they are smart emigrated abroad! Typical weekday evening characters are those in their forties to fifties who have stopped off in their car on their way home from work for 5 pints...or the stressed commuter who has just got off the train at Rose Hill station having been stuck in a smelly over-crowded tired single-carriager relic for 45-minutes from Piccadilly.

Not packed with young people - has a generally middle aged clientele - but spotlessly clean, friendly, decent beer garden, good pint, and to top it all off the landlord is a good bloke who won't stand for any nonsense.
