Protested the lack of real ale and left despite barmaid`s best efforts to make us stay.

no decent real ales so opted for smirnoff ice that turned out to be 3 months out of date , got shortchanged too............4/10just

I only ever used to come here for the decent outside seating area but, dear Lord, the beer is/was atrocious.

Nasty place. If you are around the area you have two amazing pubs either side of the Oak. The Phoenix for the younger ones and Whitefriars for all else. Avoid this chav filled, smelly, dirty, rot pile. Or don't, you decide.

what an awful place. it is the smelliest palce with the worst tasting beer in coventry, so warm. half the city is barred and the rest would rather be at the phoenix. it used to be so very friendly, but times change and so should the management!

Heaven on Earth. Scatter my ashes here when I die.

Slightly biased as this pub sponsored my rugby team but I love this place! Anywhere that doesn't require bouncers in Coventry city centre has to be a seriously friendly place. Mostly student rugby player cusomers but, student or not it is an essential part of any pub crawl.

Oh dear, looks like a poor mans version of the Phoenix along the road. Why can't they think of some of there own ideas instead of "borrowing" them?

Under new management since July '04. Full of students esp. Rugby & Football and the Cheerleaders. Opens late till 2.00am and serves great pizzas for only 3. Beats a kebab anytime.
