Airbrau, Munich Airportback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
Sharp (below) has hit the nail on the head - Airbrau puts every airport bar in Britain to shame. The beer is excellent, the service efficient and the food good value for money (bearing in mind that you do pay airport prices, so it's not as cheap as in the towns). This time I had a superb dark Weizenbier and a plateful of Viennese sausages on the table in front of me within a few minutes of finding my baggage, a mid-afternoon welcome that just makes you want to come back to Bavaria and helps you forget the nonsense that BA and BAA inflict on you to get there. If you're travelling to Munich by air, ensure you build an extra hour into your programme so you can see what an airport bar should be like.

Brilliant contrast to the overpriced Wetherspoons we have to endure in England. After deciding to swerve the garish Halloween themed Spoons at Gatwick, I landed in Munich and dashed to this gem. With handbaggage only and typical German efficiency, I had a beer in front of me 10 minutes after I landed. Follow the signs for Munich Airport Centre - its right in between Terminals 1 and 2, in a semi covered, vast shaded space. The garden surrounds an artificial pond which is very pleasing and there are a huge number of tables available as is the norm in Germany. I food menu looked decent and the beer was spot on at 2 euro 30 for a half litre - about a euro cheaper than in England. Put it this way, I would consider flying out of England early in the morning, spending all day in this remarkable pub, and then flying back in the evening. It is that good! 10/10.

Great place and great idea! The delays become much more easier to accept, when you have a good, kindly served and genuine bavarian beer (or also an excellent Weissbier) to drink!

Loved this place. Why can't we have pubs like this at our uk travel hubs? Reasonable priced well cooked food plus fabulous ale at E2.10 for 0.5L - I had the seasonal beer. The service was prompt and the place was rammed. Obviously popular with locals and travellers. Makes you wonder why we have to put up with dreadful overpriced pap at our airports.

Returning from Hong Kong after the sevens our original flight was overbooked so we were redirected via Munich, which gave us the opportunity to try the beer here before catching the connecting flight to Manchester. As airport bars go it must be one of the cheapest anywhere and the beer is pretty good too.

great, and surprisinly cheap brew-pub at the airport, not like typical bland, shitty airport bars, was actually the best wheat beer that i had during my trip .
