There were lights on when we passed en route to City Ground but the pub was most definitely shut. Maybe it is being given a make-over?

So glad I went in here!
Top boozer with footie. Very welcoming and superb beer, Like the last poster said , the Nottingham EPA is spot on. I usually vary the beers I drink, but after a pint of this, I just wanted more.

Ale is always good, sometimes as good as anywhere, Nottingham EPA nearly always on and on top form. strong supporters of Locale initiative. Manages the trick of being a pre-match refreshment favorite to a real ale destination pub and proper local Meadows boozer. Modern layout just staring to look a bit knackard although recently repainted mainly due to constant foot fall, The recent renovation of the Navigation over the canal adds to the incentive to take a trip here

Excellent pub. Plenty of choice of beer. In the Locale Scheme. Discount for CAMRA members. Excellent staff.

Rather spartan interior and felt a bit downmarket, but locals were friendly and several ales were on offer in good nick.

This is now a one-roomed, wooden floorboarded delight selling 4 or 5 real ales at reasonable prices. Very handy for Forest and Notts home games if a bit, alright alot, crowded before and after the Forest matches (never been in before after a Notts game)
