Sadly the Polish bar turned out to be a chicken grill called Fernandos

The word on the street, ok the bar of the Greyhound, is that it will shortly reopen as a Polish bar

The barman says the handpumps will be removed shortly, so just another empty pub with loud music for the staff, no ale just a few kids standing in the garden with one pint all evening waving fags around.......

I was in The White Bear last night for the first time in ages and was really surprised! It's been refurbished really nicely and has good drinks and feels cosy. Apparently, a new manager started a week or two ago (sorry, I can't remember exactly when!)and she came over and chatted for a while, seemed very friendly. They're reintroducing DJs and bands and quiz nights again which is about time!!!! I really liked the place now it's been done up. It's a bit quiet so get on down there and chill out a bit. Look forward to seeing a DJ and band back here soon :)

This used to be a fantastic pub when Claire, Ali and Renate used to run it. Its such a shame to see a really good pub go downhill. Hear they have a new manager now though. Lets see if they can live up to the legacy!

We charged to watch the footie for one reason. People we so tight in giving money to a local charity we thought we would do it this way, which by the way was for a local girl with a bone diesese. In all we raised 250 for her. So there!!!
