Now the Chorlton Tap with a decent selection of cask ales, just across the road from Chorlton tram stop. Well worth a visit if you're in the area.

Lively bar on a Saturday night. Had a Brooklyn Weisse beer which I have never seen anywhere else. However, felt this came at a hefty cost. Couldn't spend too long in here, but what's there is a good selection.

First port of call on my recent trip to bohemia. Slightly disappointed with the lack of any stouts or porters. Sampled a pint (name escapes me) which was in fine form but nothing to get too excited over.
Food menu looked enticing but I had already eaten. The gang who I was with did eat as I cast my envious eyes on their plates!
Relaxed friendly atmosphere with some good songs on the jukebox at a very reasonable sound level.
Very handy for the tram station as it's directly opposite.

Been going since this bar fist opened as a single unit and Chimay and Erdinger were a rare treat! The longest running of the "new" bars in Chorlton. Always popular. Food has improved of late and their is always a fine select of real ales. Staff can be a bit surley at times, but that's Chorlton for you!

One of Chorltons original bars and still one of the best Great beer range - marble and some guests. Erdinger and Krombacher on tap. Big range of Belgian/German bottles Excellent pub food (inexpensive for Chorlton) Friendly staff. The only downside is it's hard to get a seat as it's always popular Friendly crowd - a refreshing lack of football shirts

Comfy bar with decent enough Marble beers, bit quiet Friday lunchtime so turover a sbit slow, food looked good.

lively, good food, nice bar staff - no football colours - so how come I always manage to block the toilets in this place?

I went into this place the other nite for the first time, and i wasnt really impressed. To begin with, my m8 had to wear my coat all nite because the barstaff took offence to his england shirt (middle of the world cup!!)and told him to cover it up. they tried to make him look like a football hooligan. It cost 2.45 a pint!!!!! disgraceful. The only good thing was the comfy leather armchair that i was sat on.

Not quite sure of R`s defination of an original pub,as there`s pubs in Chorlton that outdate it by more than 100 years, but that`s been picky I suppose.
One of the few "bars" as opposed to pubs I`ve got any time for. Mixture of your old school Chorlton and your new.." Oh I`ve heard Badly Drawn Tramp drinks in here" fanny types.
Tremendous selection of bottled beer.

Excellent, reasonably priced beer from the Marble brewery and elsewhere. When you have a seat, it's a great place to spend an evening, but it gets extremely busy and you often end up standing in the cold in the small seating area outside.

We had our Christmas Lunch from work there last year. Everybody else paid 12-15 pound for soggy sprouts, turkey etc. We paid about 15 per head for a choice of menu including venison, pork, turkey and some absolutely delicious starters and desserts - my favourite ice cream and sorbet in ginger snap baskets!!

the food at the bar is unique, very good value and constantly changing specials alongside a seasonal menu gives the bar the best food of its kind in chorlton. Along side a range of continental beers and ales the place is a winner

One of the original great pubs of Chorlton. A favourite of all with its worldly selection of largers and traditional beers plus great food.
