A bit bland and inoffensive catering to your professional types and their polite friends. Oh la-di-dah. The ale was pretty good and the snacks were tasty though I must say. The modern face of affluent pub going.

Went to this pub for first time in about 5 years today - pub hasn't really changed but the food and drink offered is a huge amount better. We had a late lunch which is apparently all fresh, but served in about 20 minutes and very tasty and well presented! Wine choice was ok, beer choice much better. All I can say badly is that I wish the outside area was bigger as the weather was nice and I could have stayed a lot longer if we could have got an outside seat. Will definitely be going back for lunch next week.

Decent, one room pub with high ceilings and a large wood panelled bar down the left hand side. There's a rear area with lower ceilings and some comfy seating, even a couple of old leather car seats in the corner! True, it is perhaps a little dark, but surely that just adds to the atmosphere!
It's not obvious what it's called from the outside with no visible sign that I could see (but it was chucking it down so I may have missed it) but the friendly Aussie barman filled me in. For us the best feature was the lack of a TV! Every other pub nearby was showing the Chelsea game and rammed with supporters. Hardy conducive to a quiet meal which is what we were after. Fortunately it was also a decent menu here with a number of different deals on, two for a tenner, etc.
Beers were Sam Brooks Wandle, London Pride and Doom Bar. Ciders were Addlestones and Aspall's Suffolk cyder.

This is the sort of pub you end up in when your misses has dragged you along to one of her work social nights. Pride and Chiswick are available along with premium and standard lagers and obviously Addlestones, the gastro cider.
The barman was nice enough, but I found this place to be dark and depressing and if in the area I would stick to the Clarence over the road.

Nice bar, open late. Unfortunately spoiled for me tonight by the crude chucking out routine by the muscular barman. With no prior warning, "Sir, it's 20 past 12, you have to leave now". About a minute later, standing by the bar, drink in hand the same barman approached with a hint of agression "Sir, you to have to leave now" ...

Excellent pub. Kuppers Kolsch was very refreshing and the local wildlife in kensington/chelsea was very easy on the eye.

Went there by accident in August to escape maddening crowd in Regents Park...bus landed us outside the front door. Really relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff, decent music. Returned a couple of months later for Sunday lunch with friends excellent food and atmosphere. Planning to go in a few days for midday treat.

Visited on Sat 8 March afternoon and then again in the evening.
Really nice feel to it and the staff were really friendly.
Dinner was great!!All round just a really relaxed place to meet for drinks.

Refurbished to funky acceltic new look. Food offer of Jamie Oliver meets your Mum. Large variety of new World wines. Big opening on Wednesday 26th February.

It's closed for refurbishment until the end of Feb (2003). As far as I know, the only pub with table football around the area. Unfortunatley, there was usually very few people there. We used to call it 'The Dead Zone' - or if we were feeling generous - 'The Dr. Drayton'

We only spotted the pinball machine after we went inside, it was right at the back of the pub and if I remember correctly it was a Playboy machine.

Visited on Sun 2nd feb afternoon but it was closed. No sign of a pinball machine through the window though - anyone know different?
