Landlord and landlady relatively new and go for it now, had a fantastic sunday lunch - choice of lamb or home cooked whole gammon - haven't seen that on a pub menu for years and was delicious. Huge selection of veg and good roasts too - local beer (yellowhammer) and absolutely packed with people. Only downside is parking dreadful in the pretty village, but will be going back to try a roast beef soon. Excellent all round.

Great location, Pretty village, Church nearby. Nice building ,Thatched. Open Fire
Rooms not nearly warm enough ,Logs didn't burn well in fire (wrong type of wood?)Food average so overpriced. No condiments on table. Staff friendly. Few people in pub when we went (Sunday lunch).
Pub needs to cater more for human needs. Needs much more attention to the details which make people want to come back. Shame considering the location

Been to the Drewe arms recently and absolutely loved the atmosphere and food and drink so don't know what the other posts were about. Realise the ale was a little colder than usual but told this was due to the cold weather and the beer cellar being outside which is understandable. The Pub itself is without doubt my first choice for food and drink in the area and is very popular with the locals. I will be back to the drewe arms and recommend others to try aswell.

Gave it the benefit of the doubt for a second visit and wish I hadn't bothered.

Truly awful. The beer still tastes of nothing, served too cold, a bit like the atmosphere.

Avoid at all costs

The Drewe is now open again in the style of any pub, anywhere London "Wine Bar". The beer which is served far too cold is truly awful with no discerenable taste at all not to mention being over priced. We soon trotted off to the vastly superior Six Bells down the road in Payhembury for a warm welcome and suberbly presented pint of Otter Bitter. Avoid at all cost if you take your real ale seriously!!

Great English pub - beautiful garden - serving through the bar window - food fantastic and fairly priced. prepared a dish especially for our children not on menu. Beautiful pub - absolutely idyllic!

Otter beers are superbly kept and served from the cask; an excellent wine list; food is exceptional, especially the fish. I ordered a crab salad and was told "The crabs we have today are a bit on the small side, so we've given you two." Lovely garden with shade from chestnut trees. Well worth a small detour if you're passing anywhere nearby.

Cool pub in a tiny, thatched village in Devon. Pleasent garden, cool basement type area with a drip and three different types of Otter beer to try.

It's on the gastro-pub map and the main pub can fill up with foodies and there's still locals hanging around the bar, nattering.
