This has now been taken over by the JDW chain and opened in Feb 2010 as The Looking Glass. Very busy on recent visits more due to the novelty than the beer (perhaps?) but a tolerable couple of pints of Abbott went down well. Very busy before the Wire games.

Being done up - heard that JD is gonna move here and change the existing JD into a Lloyds - we wait to see, might bring more busines to this end of town.

Now closed - Thank God. Use the much more salubrious Lower Angel a few doors into town on same side of street.

Somewhat expensive, dreary chain bar.

on saturday i took my girlfriend to yates in warrington for a drink whilst there we had a club sandwich and chips. we have enjoyed your food there for a number of years now.the food is very nice and dont think i could ever have a bad word to say about it. but recent vists have dissapointed.a gang of five young men were giving my girlfriend constant unplesant rude coments so i told bar staff about this and that they were also throwing food about. the young male barman told me he would come over and have a word but never did. we ended up leaving our meal and drinks and walked out. i dont think i will be visting at a busy weekend again. i have not lost my faith yet as it was not your staff at fault. but feel they could of found a minute to speak to the men about there behavour. yours mr brough

Went in here after mow marlow? we had Screamers and mixers and it wasnt that expensive.
Typical Yates style pub.
It was a bit quiet for a friday night but we didnt mind - we went upstairs and played on 1 of 2 pool tables and the quiz games etc
Toilets are in a world of there own but clean
This pub was ok - staff friendly service quick and ocals were nice (were from manchester)
